Step back in time on one of our history school trips
Our school history trips to Europe and North America cover topics as diverse as the Roman Empire to Civil Rights. In Germany we primarily focus on events of the twentieth century including the rise of Hitler, WW2 and the Cold War. We also go to Krakow in Poland where students can visit Auschwitz. In Italy our tours to Rome and Naples learn about the Roman Empire. In the USA our tours explore Boston, New York and Washington and we can learn about events from the Revolutionary War through to Civil Rights.

China History Tour
This tour visits the cities of Beijing, Xian and Shanghai to explore their history and culture . In Beijing we visit the incredible Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square while to the north we venture to the Great Wall. In xian we visit the incredible Terra Cotta army before flying to Shanghai. China’s economic centre is a spectacular combination of ancient and modern and a highlight of our tour is the ascent of the Shanghai Tower, China’s tallest building.

Istanbul, Gallipoli & Ancient Troy History School Trip
Explore the highlights of Istanbul and the Golden Horn before travelling to the Gallipoli Peninsula to visit ANZAC Cove and many other key sites of the ill-fated Gallipoli Campaign of WW1. The tour also visits the archaeological site of Ancient Troy and can be extended to include Assos and Pergamon.

Our New York and Boston School History Trip adds variety to a traditional New York tour by exploring the history of Boston, one of the oldest cities in the United States. Boston was the birthplace of Samuel Adams, one of the founding fathers, and of course played host to the famous tea party of 1773, the precursor to the Revolutionary War

Bay of Naples History & Classics School Trip
Our tour to the Bay of Naples in the Italian region of Campania explores some of the most famous archaeological sites known to antiquity including Pompeii and Herculaneum which were lost in the cataclysmic eruption of Vesuvius in 79AD. We also discover the Etruscan city of Capua and the Greek ruins at Paestum.

Munich & Nuremberg WW2 History School Trip
This tour focuses on the rise of the Nazi Party, tracing its history from its origins in Munich after WW1 through the beer hall putsch to Hitler's ascent to power in 1933. We visit the site of the subsequent Nuremberg rallies, but also discover German resistance to Hitler and see the courtroom where the post-war Nuremberg trials were held.

Istanbul History & Classics School Trip
Through its long history Constantinople has been at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. It was as Byzantium the capital of the Eastern Roman Empire and was named for the Emperor Constantine. Subsequently fought over during the Crusades, the city was conquered by the Ottomans in 1453 and the Sultan made it the new capital which it remained until 1930.

Krakow & Auschwitz History School Trip
Our tours to Krakow focus on the former Nazi concentration camp at Auschwitz-Birkenau but also explore some of the other history of the city including the heritage of the Jewish Quarter and the former factory of Oskar Schindler. We also visit the incredible salt mine at Wieliczka.

Ancient Greece History & Classics School Trip
Our School History Trip to Greece explores the birthplace of European civilisation from the Minoan and Mycenaean civilisations which ruled Crete and the Aegean to the great Athenian philosophers including Plato and Aristotle of the Hellenistic period. Our tours explore Athens before travelling to the Peloponnese where we visit the ruins at Mycenae, Corinth, Epidaurus and Delphi.

Rome - the Eternal city - is the very embodiment of the ancient world with archaeological treasures at every turn. The Colosseum and the Roman Forum are of course the most prominent and most recognisable of these but there are many other sites to explore both within the city walls and outside.

American Revolutionary and Civil Wars School Trip
This tour covers a swathe of American history during the formative years of the United States from the Revolutionary War which ended in British defeat at Yorktown in 1781 through the War of 1812 to the Civil War which raged across the country from 1861 to 1865 and which cemented Abraham Lincoln's position in the lexicon of great American patriots.

Berlin Cold War History School Trip
Our Cold War tours to Berlin explore the division of Germany after WW2 and Churchill’s ‘Iron Curtain’ which separated Europe into East and West. We learn about the Berlin Wall and how the city was divided almost overnight. We explore the methods by which the East German state spied on and imprisoned its own people and how the Wall eventually came down in 1989.

New York History School Trip
Our New York history school trip begins with the immigrants who arrived at Ellis Island in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. We learn what life was like in the Lower East Side Tenements and see how the city has evolved over the last century. We also fast forward to recent times and the 9/11 terrorist attacks which left an indelible scar on the city.

Washington DC History School Trip
On our history tours to Washington DC, visits are included to the US Capitol Building, the White House, the Supreme Court and the National Archives. These will lay the foundations for an understanding of the American political system, how it was shaped by the Founding Fathers, and how it survived the subsequent cataclysm of Civil War.

Berlin WW2 History School Trip
Our history tours to Berlin explore the origins of WW2 and the rise of fascism in Germany which had its roots in the collapse of the Weimar Republic and the terms imposed on Germany after the First World War. We visit the Reichstag Building and hear about the final days in the Bunker, as well as learning about the Holocaust and the resistance to the Nazis among ordinary Germans.
